For the fifth (or so) year, Neal Hoskins of Winged Chariot  has helped the Bologna Children’s Book Fair as a curator and coordinator for the Digital Area for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (see the program from 2014). He does a great job … the Digital Café and associated speaker stage have grown into important meeting points for international conversations on children’s digital media.

In full disclosure, I get paid to run the award and Dust or Magic Masterclass, but am not connected with booth sales or sponsorships. That’s Neal’s department.

For the 2015 Edition of the fair, Neal has put together a cluster of demo-friendly booths in the Digital Arcade area. They’re designed so that a small publisher can attend the fair for a low rate. And it’s an ideal option for a small USA publisher interested in exploring Bologna.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION  The Café has it… You’ll get a front row seat in one of the best parts of the fair (in the USA/UK hall), within earshot of the Digital Café speaker stage.  And you’ll be with five other Dust or Magic masterclass attendees.

DATES The Masterclass will take place on Sunday, March 28; the Book Fair starts the following day and goes for three days (March 30 to April 2).

COST 1000 Euros each. The booth is smaller than a regular booth, but it’s also nearly 1/3 cheaper (just 1000 vs. 2,800 Euros). Note that 1 Euro = $1.25. This fee includes full access to the fair.

TO SIGN UP OR ASK QUESTIONS  Contact Neal directly at neal.hoskins@gmail.com.  More information is on this form (as a PDF). The deadline to sign up is January 28. The forms are below.

Oh… the one thing you won’t find in the Café? Coffee. Neal’s still working on it.
